William R. Bennett

Oct 31, 1954 – Sep 19, 2010

      William R. Bennett, 55, passed away in WFH-All Saints on Sunday, September 19, 2010. He was born in Ft. Atkinson, WI, on October 31, 1954, the son of the late Robert and Margaret (nee: Hain) Bennett.

     William had been employed, as an electrician, by Racine Steel Casting for over 25 years. He enjoyed shooting his guns at Shooters and listening to all kinds of music, especially, the blues and rock.

     Surviving are his daughters, Mandy and Kyla Bennett; grandchildren, Jordan, Makayla, and Amaya Bennett, all of Racine; sister, Janice Bennett-Bernard, of Tampa, FL; brothers, David Bennett and Michael (Debby) Bennett, all of Racine; niece and goddaughter, Alicia Bennett; nephew, Kyle Bennett; sister-in-law, Michelle Bennett, his close and loving companion of 23 years, Margaret Zahalka, and his special friend, John Hird, all of Racine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin sons, and 2 brothers Lawrence and Richard Bennett.

     His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 23rd at 6:30 p.m. in St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church, 1509 Grand Ave., with Rev. Ronald J. Gramza officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will take place on Friday, at 11:00 a.m., in the family plot of Holy Cross Cemetery Hy32. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the family for a trust fund, for his grandchildren, to be established at a later date.
