Barbara Lea Wiklund

May 13, 1933 – Oct 7, 2007

Racine- Barbara Lea (nee: Agamenoni) Wiklund, 74, passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in West Allis on Sunday, October 7, 2007. Barbara was born in Virginia, Minnesota on May 13, 1933. On February 12, 1955, she was united in marriage to Richard Lorentz Wiklund, who preceded her in death on December 2, 1998. Barbara loved the outdoors. She enjoyed camping in the North Woods of Minnesota and, later, being at her lake home of Sand Lake, Minnesota, where she enjoyed canoeing and admiring the loons. Surviving are her children, Peter (Alison) Shurtleff – and their daughter, Greer; Mark (Julie) Wiklund – and their daughter, Kelly; Lisa (Dave) Soderman; Mike (Wendy) Wiklund – and their children, Erik, Wyatt, Jessica and Scott; and Kristine (Jeff) Draves – and their children, Tennyle (James) Pavlik, Brandon and Connor; great-grandchildren, Justin and Brianne Pavlik; and by many other special relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. In addition to her husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia (nee: Madden) Agamenoni; and father, Betto (Olga) Agamenoni. In accordance with Barabara’s wishes, cremation will take place. Private memorial services will be held for the family. Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family at the Wiklund residence, 2414 William Street, on Wednesday (this evening), October 10, 2007 from 5-7 pm. In memory of Barbara, memorials to Mayo Clinic or to the animal shelter of one’s choice have been suggested. There is a need within all of us To express love for each life at the ending – just as in the beginning. And to recognize once again the life we have been allowed to share together. We have been privileged to care for and to love this life whose memory now remains with us. We share that love with God – in His eternal Kingdom!
