
Racine – Peter Thompson Damm III, age 64, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at home on Sunday, October 20, 2013.
Peter was born in Racine April 8, 1949 to the late Peter and Thelma (nee: Zirkelbach) Damm II. He was a 1967 graduate of Washington Park High School and went on to study at Gateway Technical Institute.
Prior to retirement, Peter was employed for many years at In-Sink-Erator. He was a proud member of the ISE 10-Year-Club and of Alcoholics Anonymous. In his younger years, Peter was a guitar player for the band “The Romans” and a member of the Racine Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps. Peter loved bowling and has many trophies to show how talented he was at it. Peter loved collecting old cars with his prized 1932 Model A, and his 1952 Chevy pickup truck. Peter also volunteered for the American Red Cross as a driver. Above all, Peter loved being in the surroundings of his family and close circle of friends.
Surviving are his lifelong companion and best friend, Betty Rae (nee: Stewart) Damm; daughter, Lisa Damm of Seattle, WA; son, Peter Thompson Damm IV of Tacoma, WA; sisters, Pamela Damm and LaDonna (Lee) Schonert;; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his dear friend, Kathleen A. Ellison.
In accordance with Peter’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
