
Raul Lopez, 57, passed unexpectedly, following a household accident, on Saturday, December 5, 2015. He was born in Yuerecaro, Michoacan, Mexico on December 20, 1957, the son of the late Ruben and Adelina (Gutierrez) Lopez. Mr. Lopez had been employed by Rohner Asphalt and Grading Contractors. He recently acquired a home and has been rehabbing it.
Surviving are his two children, Leticia (Thomas) Kutis, and Jorge (Laura) Lopez, their mother, Rosalinda Torres; three grandchildren, Lilliana and Aurora Kutis, and Ava Lopez, all of Racine; brothers and sisters,
Alma Gutierrez, Alfonso Lopez, and Jesus (Mayra) Lopez, all in Mexico, Lydia Sotelo, Joaquin Lopez, and Maria (Leopoldo) Morales, all of Garden City, KS, and Lupita (Cruz) Garcia, of Milwaukee. His nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive him.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1100 Erie St., on Wednesday, December 9th, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Antony Thomas and Deacon Roberto Fuentes officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 8th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with the Parish Vigil be held at 6:45 p.m., and in the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
