Pewaukee – Raymond John Peterson, Jr., 48, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, April 12th, 2016, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He was born in Racine on July 21, 1967, son of Raymond (Sr.) and Joanne (née: Wally) Peterson.
Ray was united in marriage to Jenny Lynn (née: Petersen) on August 7, 2004, at the Wustum Museum Gardens in Racine.
Ray graduated from Bradford High School in 1985. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 1995. Ray worked as a CPA for Kone Cranes in West Allis. He was the all-time #1 dad. Ray loved spending time with his family, whether bowling or the boy scouts, just as long as they were together. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and also absolutely loved playing Fantasy Football.
Ray leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Jenny Peterson of Pewaukee; sons, Christian, Kaleb, Zachary, Cameron, Connor; father, Raymond Peterson, Sr. of Pleasant Prairie; in-laws, Jack and Rose Petersen of Hot Springs Village, AR; brothers and sisters, Peggy (Ron) Neau, Bruce (Roslyn) Peterson, Brenda Nielsen, Jeff (Jeannette) Peterson, Glenn Peterson, John (Donna) Peterson; sister-in-law, Tina Petersen; best friend, Peter Hart; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends too numerous to mention.
Ray is preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Peterson; and nephew, Travis Peterson.
A celebration of Ray’s life will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016, 12:30pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. The family asks that you please wear your favorite Green Bay Packers garb to the service.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to Dr. Laura Raftery, our friends on 2SW at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, everyone at Kone Cranes, the staff at Angels Grace Hospice, as well as all of our family and friends, for the outpouring of support during this difficult time for Ray and his family.
