
Janesville – Nicholas J. Hartlein, formerly of Racine passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 6, 2016. He was 32 years old. He was born in Racine on March 2, 1984, the son of Donald Hartlein and Jeanette (nee: Brucker) Hartlein. Nick attended Bigfoot High School in Walworth and then went on to work at Morgan Truck and Body Corporation. He had recently begun working at the Premier Staffing in Beloit.
Nick was an energetic loving person that enjoyed life. He faced many challenges in his short life but still managed to do the things he enjoyed. He loved fishing,golfing,cooking,camping,snowboarding,working on cars and many other things but most of all he enjoyed his time with his children. He has touched the hearts of many and will be missed dearly by all.
Nick is survived by his children, Savannah and Nicholas Jr.; their mother, Rachael Hartlein-Sturrock of Sturtevant; his parents, Jeanette (Timothy) Ostenson of Mt. Pleasant, and Donald Hartlein of Florida; 2 sisters and 4 brothers, Heather Hartlein of Janesville, Tierney Ostenson of Mt. Pleasant, Donovan Hartlein of Florida, Tim (Nicole) Ostenson of Darien, Matt (Justine) Ostenson of Delavan, and Joe Ostenson of Beloit; grandparents, Tim and Sue Brucker of Franksville, and Bev and Don Hartlein of Florida; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home at 6pm on Thursday, May 12, 2016 with Rev. Holly Anderle officiating. Visitation in the funeral home will begin at 4:30pm. Memorials to the family are appreciated.
