Service Details

Homegoing services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Wilcoxon officiating. A visitation will take place on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Services.

Curtis Dell “Catfish” Turner Sr., age 69, of Kenosha, found his peace on July 6, 2022.
He was born in Starkville, MS on November 14, 1952, a son of the late Nathaniel Ellis and Dotsi B. Tyler
He attendee Starkville, MS schools and was employed for a time at Ocean Spray Corp. He was joined in matrimony to Beverly Andersen El’Amin; even though they divorced, they remained friends until his departure to eternal life.
Curtis loved the Cowboy Western genre, “Pulltabs” gambling, and the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed listening to Blues and Country music. He was very fond of dogs and shopping for antique collectibles. His most prized possessions were his HATS. Most of all, he relished time with his family and friends at Flint’s Inn and driving his Big Boy 4X4 truck.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Curtis D. (Vicki )Turner Jr., Mykicia Lovelace (Jeffrey) Turner, and Jamie Lynn Turner; his stepchildren, Orlando and Cedric, his grandchildren, Brienne Lovelace, Darryiel Lovelace, Jeffrey Hubbard, Jr., Rosie Lovelace, Mykassidy Hubbard, Kalen Turner, Isaiah Turner, Maya Turner, Justine Figueroa, and Morgan Napier; his great-grandchildren, Teah, Jaylen, Jaycier , Denahi, Kaiden, Jordan, Noah, Amari, Kenai, Brooklyn, and Kashton; his siblings, Artis (Roxie) Tyler, Aleta Tyler, Dorothy Tyler, Leara Patterson, and host of other relatives and friends.
Homegoing services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Draeger Langendorf Funeral Home. A visitation will take place on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
