    A Light That Lingers
    The stars don’t leave when morning breaks,
    They only hide their glow,
    And though the heart in silence aches
    For those it had to let go,
    There is a peace that settles deep,
    Like snow upon the pine—
    A promise that the love we keep
    Transcends the reach of time.
    They are the gold within the leaf,
    The soft and sudden rain;
    A grace that moves beneath the grief
    To quiet every pain.
    So breathe them in with every dawn,
    In every breeze that blows,
    For though the physical is gone,
    The spirit stays—and knows.
    May you find comfort in the small, quiet reminders that their light is still very much with you.
