MOUNT PLEASANT – Arthur F. Hicks, 74, passed away at Aurora Zilber Hospice in Wauwatosa on     June 2, 2025.

Art was born in Hoboken, NJ on March 25, 1951, the son of the late Frederick and Janette (nee Magee) Hicks.   He graduated from Shorewood High School and Gateway Technical College.

He and Cathy (nee Mitchell) Hicks were married for 47 years, and lived in Racine for 43 years.

Art worked as a set-up welder and fitter for Lakeside Steel, retiring in 2019.

He was an avid cyclist and was a 25-year member of the Kenosha Racine Bike Club, as well as serving 15 years on the board of directors.   He also served as an official and coach for the USAC for 15 years.

In addition to his wife Cathy, Art is survived by his daughter, Kristine Page; his sister, Janet (Steve) Bavers; his brother, Ken Hicks; as well as dear nephews, nieces; and many friends; especially those he met during his years of cycling.

Art was also preceded in death by his brother, Jim Hicks.
