He was born in Brasov, Romania on September 16, 1959, the son of the late Marcel and Stela (nee Badilla) Schwartz. Nony received his Master’s degree in theater from Caragiale National University in Bucharest.
On November 9, 1991, he married Cynthia J. Larson in Dallas, TX. They lived in Dallas, Atlanta GA, the Bay area of CA, and Sacramento CA before moving to the Racine/Kenosha area in 2013.

In addition, he was a successful entrepreneur. However, Nony’s passion was coaching tennis. He coached for the Kenosha and Racine LifeSport Tennis Clubs. He was especially dedicated to his younger students, working to instill in them a lifelong love of the game. He also did freelance coaching for St. Joseph Catholic Academy girl’s tennis, Marquette High School boy’s tennis and MSOE men’s tennis. In 2017, he was awarded the Wisconsin Girls Division II Tennis Coach of the Year.
Nony is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Larson-Schwartz of Mount Pleasant; his daughter, Lia Schwartz of Kenosha; his mother-in-law, Norma “Jeannie” Larson of Kenosha; and his sister-in-law, Carla Larson-Struss of Mount Pleasant. Nony was a knowledgeable person regarding coffee and espresso. We enjoyed our conversations about the coffee business. He was also involved with the selection of our house blend of coffee. We will truly miss his smile and his warm personality.

I played with Nony every Wednesday morning when I lived in Racine. We had so much fun on court but we always had great discussions about life off court.
I no longer live in Wisconsin and I’m so saddened to hear off his death.
Such a wonderful soul!!!
Rest In Peace, Nony. My thoughts and prayers to Cynthia and their family.
