
Traverse City – Bob D. Michaluk, 70, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 19, 2015, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 1, 1945, son of the late Mitchell and Edith (nee: Bobb) Michaluk. Bob was united in marriage to Diane M. Behrens, on May 27, 2003.
Bob’s numerous talents led him many different directions from Engineering to Education to Venture Capital work and on to Marketing, Sales and IT. He developed the SERIS Internet Society in Atlanta, Georgia and was a mentor to students at FIRST Robotics in Traverse City. His mind was always working on building and design projects as well as tinkering on multiple inventive ideas.
Bob leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Diane Behrens of Traverse City; daughters, Adrienne (Jeff) Winsor of Colorado, Marnie Johnson of Alabama; step-children, Alison (Mark) Langendorf of Wisconsin, Matthew (Jennifer Faison) Behrens of Virginia; grandchildren, Nicollas Johnson, Jack Winsor, Caroline Winsor; sister, Betty (John) Morrison of Milford; mother-in-law, Olga Rogos of Kalkaska; brother-in-law, Greg (Brenda) Rogos of Shelby Township; devoted canine companion, Bella; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his brother, Bill Michaluk.
Bob’s family is planning a memorial service to be held in the fall. The family would like to thank Dr. Kohler and his staff, as well as Wendy and the rest of the staff at Munson Home Healthcare, for the love and support given to Bob and family during this difficult time. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
