Service Details

His Homegoing Service will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, this Friday, November 15th, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joseph A. Pipes officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in the Veterans Section of Graceland Cemetery.

Bobby Charles Waters, 72, known to many as “Tojo”, unexpectedly,  completed his earthly journey on Monday, November 11, 2019. He was born in Meridian, MS on July 21, 1947, the son of the late Elijah Waters and Maggie Kelley.

Bobby Charles, along with his family, moved to Racine in 1963. He attended Washington Park High School. In 1969, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. Bobby Charles was a gifted singer, and he loved all kinds of music. His humor and big personality could light up any room.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sisters, Lula McLain, and Annie Ruth Waters, both of Racine; brother, Edward (Brenda) Kelley, of Powder Springs, GA, special friend, Barbara Jones; her children, Latoya and Belinda, all of Milwaukee, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Bobby Charles, was preceded in death by his brothers,
