Ciko Nelson, 26, beloved Son, Brother, and Father, was called to his eternal resting place on November 2, 2025. He entered this world on September 3, 1999 in Waukegan, IL, born to Ernest and Kimecea Lipscomb. He is survived by his father, Ernest; mother, Kimecea; brother, Ernest Nelson, Jr.; sister, Monique Lockett; brother, Deandre Lipscomb; sister, Mykelia Nelson; sister, May Nelson; son, Amir Nelson.

Ciko had several pastimes that he enjoyed, among them basketball, skateboarding, traveling and gaming. He was known for being a devoted father, with a kind heart, contagious smile, and vibrant energy. He was truly the life of the party, bringing joy and laughter wherever he went. Beyond his fun-loving spirit, Ciko was deeply compassionate and understanding, always there when others needed him most. A devoted father, Ciko adored his son, Amir and took great pride in being a loving, hands-on dad. He was a hard worker who approached life with determination and courage, never afraid to try new things or explore new places. He loved making lasting memories with his family and friends. Ciko’s light will continue to shine through the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.

It took a lot out of me to write this, tbh I still don’t believe I’m writing this for you. I’m going to miss you, little Brother, you left us all with great memories and conversations and a smile we can’t forget. Love you, lil bro, forever my brother keeper ~ EJ ~

“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear”.
