I was deeply saddened to hear of Eugene’s passing and regret only hearing about it the evening prior to his services. I wanted to be there in respect for the amazing friend he was.

Eugene and me were friends and schoolmates from grade school through high school. These were our formative years, and his presence was always supportive.
In looking back and thinking about how life takes us on our own individual paths, I realize how much a person’s true character is on display in our youth. The goodness in people stands out early in life, well before the pressures of the world and resistance to good overwhelms and often time changes us.

“Geno” had a Devine light was always shining brightly. And while we lost touch for decades as we fought through the challenges of becoming our best selves as adults, I feel blessed to have seen him at another friend’s homegoing services earlier this year. It was like no time had passed between us. A true old friend.

I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting his children and other family members, but I know your loss is great. You should know that Eugene was a loved and respected peacemaker, athlete and loyal friend. May he rest in peace and may God bless you all.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

It has been a long while in business since I have experienced and witnessed someone be truly great at what they do. That was my experience with Mike and team. Above and beyond hardly encompasses their professionalism and compassion during our family’s bereavement.

Thank you most sincerely,
Jason C.
