Service Details

In keeping with her last wish a private service with entombment at West Lawn Memorial Park.

 

 

Irmgard Fenkl, 94, passed away at her residence on Saturday, July 17, 2021. She was born in Bernberg, Germany on November 14, 1926, the daughter of the late Karl and Anna (nee: Stein) Hetzel. Irma emigrated to the United States, arriving on December 26, 1951. On January 23, 1954, she was united in marriage to Anton “Toni” Fenkl, he preceded her in death on October 20, 2016. Irma was very proud of the fact that on November 26, 1967, she became a U.S. Citizen.

Irmgard had been employed by Multi Products Co. Inc. She was a member of the Frauen Verein of the D.M.V. Racine German Club.  Surviving are her brother-in-law, Alois “Louie” Fenkl; nephews, Dieter Fenkl, Eric “Rick” Fenkl, and Ron Fenkl, and their families, and her family members in Germany. In addition to her husband and parents, Irma had 4 siblings. Irma’s favorite brother Willie died in WWII. She also had two other brothers and one sister, Walter, Karl, and Elfriede all of who preceded her in death. A very special thank you to her dear and caring friends, Gabriela Pettit, Rebecca Pettit, and Jutta Stoewe.
