James D. Kubiaczyk, age 91 of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

Jim was born in Antigo, WI. on June 16, 1930, a son of the late Frank and Laura (nee:Packard) Kubiaczyk. He was a graduate of Antigo High School.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 until 1957.

On February 25, 1956, in Antigo, he was united in marriage to Kathleen M. Steber.
Jim was employed for many years as a carpenter at both Highland Park Hospital and St. Mary’s hospital. He retired from Snap on Tools following many years of service in the Maintenance Department.

By far, the thing that brought Jim the most joy was the time he spent in his shop “putzing” with his best friend and neighbor, Larry Andersen.
Devoted husband of Kathleen; cherished father of Debbie and Jeff; loving grandfather of James Marshall: best friend and neighbor of Larry and Kathie Andersen. Jim is further survived by his granddogs, Koda, Katia, and Mocha, and his brother Mike (Carol) Kubiaczyk.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Helen Arnold, Hazel Curran, and Wally, Gene, Richard, and Frank Kubiaczyk.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 3:30 p.m. at the Draeger- Langendorf Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Interment will take place on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.

Jim’s family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice Alliance, Inc, his nurse, Kylie, and his aides, Jackie and Krista. A very special thanks to Dr. Joel Carroll and his wife Lynn, and Jack and Barb Holverson for all the love and support shown to both them and their father during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the family have been suggested.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Dear Bob,
I just wanted to thank you again for all your help and everything you did for my grandfather’s funeral. Looking back on it, I think Gramps would have been so proud of how everything turned out and it would not have been possible without your help. Your staff is amazing and has allowed us the grieve without worrying about the little details of everything that goes into making the arrangements and planning the services. You helped us honor one of the most amazing men in my life, and it meant so much to me personally and to my family. Thank you for everything.
Take care,
Jessie Tuttle
