Joan L. Ingle

Mar 6, 1948 – Dec 31, 2010

 

     Joan L. Ingle, 62, passed away unexpectedly in Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints on Friday, December 31, 2010. She was born in Racine on March 6, 1948 the daughter of Jack and Margaret (nee: Rick) DeGarmo.

     On August 2, 1969, in Holy Communion Lutheran Church, she was united in marriage to John Ingle. Joan was a member of the Apostolic Church. She owned and operated Joan’s Home Cleaning and was later employed by Society’s Assets. Joan enjoyed all types of crafts. She was a very talented artist.

    Surviving are her beloved husband, John; their children, Jeffrey (Brenda) Ingle, Jason (Amanda Hasse) Ingle, Jamie (Samantha) Ingle, Jonathan (Stacey Simmons) Ingle, all of Racine; grandchildren,  Cody, Makennah, Mikayla, Kaysin, Skylar, and Lucas; her parents, Jack and Margaret DeGarmo, of Plantation, FL, 3 sisters, her twin, Jill (Paul) Vieau, of Racine, Ginger (Roy) Wilson, of Boca Raton, FL, and Leslie Routt, of Fairfax, VA. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive her. Joan was preceded in death by 2 sons, Jack and Chuck Ingle.

     Her funeral service will be held in the Apostolic Faith Church, Airline Rd. at Hwy K, on Friday, January 7th at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor James E. Schumacher officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and in the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove. The family has suggested memorials to a fund, to be established, for the education of her grandchildren of the Racine Literacy Council.
