Judith “Judy” or “Nana” Renee Reinhard (Weishaar)

March 10, 1937 – April 9, 2025

Judith “Judy” Reinhard, known as “Nana,” age 88, of Racine, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Hebron, Illinois.

Born on March 10, 1937, in Racine, Wisconsin, Judy was the daughter of Daniel and Carol (Quinn) Weishaar. She graduated from Lutheran High School in Racine and briefly attended Valparaiso University in Indiana, where she studied Education. Judy went on to work for attorney and politician Manny Brown before beginning a long and dedicated career with the City of Racine’s Housing Department.

On November 25, 1966, Judy married Kenneth Reinhard. Together they built a life and raised three children in their family home in West Racine.

Judy will be remembered for her incredible passion and talent as a world-champion baton twirler. Her competition days started at the age of 8 and she continued until the age of 17.  Not only was she a world champion twirler, she owned and led the Shamrockettes Baton Corps.. She also cherished summers spent camping and fishing with family at their campground. Her deep love for animals was always evident, especially in her bond with her most recent dog, Willie.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth H. Reinhard, her beloved son Scott A.Reinhard, and her parents, Daniel and Carol.

She is survived by her son Patrick (Rick) Reinhard and her daughter Candice (Candi) Oteman; step daughter Kathleen Konesko; daughter in-law Kathy Reinhard (Rantala); her grandchildren Quinn (Austin Holik), Jacob, and Cassidy Oteman, Rachael (Dave) Niles, Jeff (Kelly) Konesko, and Matthew (Ashley) Konesko; and her great-grandchildren Xander, Zane, Ezekiel, and Azariah Niles; Nadia, Briana, and Elijah Konesko.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory in Racine.  The celebration of her life and funeral service will take place at 11:00 am.  Following the service, immediate family will accompany Judy to her final resting place at West Lawn Memorial Park.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to her medical care team for their compassionate support, especially her caregivers at Aurora in Racine and First Light Home Care in McHenry County, Illinois.

Dearest Mom. Nana. Judy.
You had many names and roles in our lives, and your presence will be deeply missed. We will forever cherish memories of summers at the campground, Christmas gatherings, and the unwavering love and support you gave to your children, grandchildren, and furry friends. We love you always.

My sympathy to your family. Before Ms. Judi’s obituary was published, when I saw her picture, it brought me back to my days in the Shamrockettes. I so enjoyed my time under the direction of Ms. Judi. If I remember correctly, her hair was red and always put up in the same style as in the photo. Twirling the baton is like riding a bike for me. I haven’t twirled in a long time, but every time I see one I pick it up and remember our moves. Rest in peace dear Ms. Judi.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

My family and I would like to thank you and your staff for all the kindness and sincere expressions of sympathy that you extended to us during the loss of my son, Todd Swanson. We appreciate all the extra special things you did to help us through this very difficult time. We didn’t have to think ahead, we just had to be there while every little detail was taken care of by you and your staff. This made an impression on everyone that came, and I will never forget it. Thank you from all of us.
