In Loving Memory of Karen Sue Niemi
June 29, 1966 – October 20, 2025
Karen Sue Niemi, 59, of Racine, passed away on October 20, 2025, at Ascension, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 29, 1966, in Racine, Karen spent her life in the community she loved, bringing warmth, laughter, and kindness to everyone she met.
Karen had a beautiful spirit and a heart that never stopped giving. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—long walks, a good movie, and her favorite 70s music—but nothing brought her more happiness than her family. Her children and grandson were her world, and she loved them beyond measure.
She was the kind of person who made everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. Her kindness was effortless, her love unconditional, and her generosity endless. Karen’s presence lit up every room, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her. Her warmth and love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She will be deeply missed by her mother, Patricia Niemi; her siblings, Michelle Purlee, Nancy Blaesing, and Todd Niemi; her children, Lauryn Sullivan and Brandyn Rodriguez; and her beloved grandson, Greysen Sullivan; along with her son-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Jerome L. Niemi.

Karen was, and always will be, a reminder of what it means to love deeply, give freely, and live with a kind heart.
“Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day—
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed, and always dear.”
Forever in our hearts. 💖
