Memorial Suggestions

Your favorite local humane society.

Kathryn Nordstrom (nee: Storbeck), age 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Seasons Hospice in Oak Creek. Kathryn was born in Racine on October 23, 1942, daughter of Violet and Robert Storbeck.

Kathryn graduated from Park High School in 1960. Most recently, she enjoyed reconnecting with her Park High School friends at the reunions and get-togethers. She loved to reminisce about growing up in Racine.

Mom was a wonderful mother and grandmother whose creative soul, style, and grace will live on through her family. She loved working outside in her yard, very much a lover of nature! She was a gifted sewer, beader, and unique crafter.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula (Joe), Robin (Mark); their father, Leroy; four cherished grandchildren, Brock (Savannah), Kayla, and Robin and Mark’s two daughters; her sister, Pat; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, many cousins, and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her infant brother, Robert; and her brother-in-law, Ronald.

Per Kathryn’s wishes, a private service will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park, 9000 Washington Avenue, Mount Pleasant.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Humane Society of your choosing.

Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of mom’s wonderful and kind neighbors who assisted over the years with snow blowing, getting mail, and helping with her projects.

Testimonials

June 24, 2020

My Aunt, Alvera Van Brunt, was adamant about not having a funeral; with Mike Langendorf’s skills and refreshing open personality, we were able to meet her desires and also give her family and friends a chance for final goodbyes.
