Service Details

Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, September 28th, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 12:00 O’clock Noon until the time of the service. Please see the funeral home website for the complete obituary.

Lois H. Sorenson, 87, passed away at Ridgewood Health and Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. She was born in Racine on December 23, 1932 the daughter of the late Alfred and Cynthia (nee: Higgie) Schommer. Lois was a lifetime resident of Racine. She was a member of Calvary Memorial Church.

Surviving are her children, Fred (Barbara) Sorenson, of Basil, Switzerland, Thomas Sorenson, of Racine, Deborah(Robert) Nepple, of Minneapolis, Kenneth (Patrice) Sorenson, of Racine, Stephen Sorenson, of Sanford, NC, Robert (Karen) Sorenson, of Racine, Donna (Yoon) Chung, of Tinton Falls, NJ, and James (June) Sorenson, of San Diego, CA; 17  grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; one sister, Carol (Gayle) McKy of Wisconsin ; brother, Jim (Sheila) Schommer, of Arizona, and former husband, Kenneth Sorenson of Racine. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive her. Lois was preceded in death by sister Janice Kolhoff and grandson Jonathan Sorenson
