His Homegoing Service will be held in the United Church of God in Christ, 2849-92nd St. in Sturtevant, on Tuesday, September 17th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.

Miller's FlowersMack Mayfield, 69, of Racine, passed away at Ascension-All Saints on Saturday, September 7, 2024. He was born in Maury City, TN on July 18, 1955, the son of the late Johnny and Georgia Mae (nee: Brown) Mayfield.
After graduating from high school Mack went on to obtain his associate degree from Dyersburg Community College, where he was a star basketball player. On March 17, 1979, in Maury City, TN, he united in marriage to Sandra Denise Koonce. Mack had been employed as a supervisor by the Delta Group, in Muskego, until his retirement. He was a Minister for the United Church of God In Christ under leadership of Pastor Curtis Doss. Mack was involved with the prison ministry of the church for many years. He was a very talented basketball player and in his later years watched as much basketball as he could. Mack was a diehard Packer fan.
Surviving are his wife of forty five years, Sandra; their four children, Janice Winbush, Angie (Raymond) Reed, Michael Mayfield, and Kevin (Bentue) Mayfield, all of Racine; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; six sisters, Teresa (Eddie) Tyus, Terry (Henry Lee) King, Vicky (Steve) Dickerson, and Janie (Melvin) Perry, all of Maury City, TN, Charlotte Twiddy, and Vanessa (Franklin) Jackson, all of Clarksville, TN; two sisters-in-law, Mary Koonce, of Kenosha, and Lynn Brown, of Maury City, TN; and his aunt Barbara (Denzelle) Rayner, of Maury City, TN . His niece, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive him. In addition to his parents, Mack was preceded in death by two brothers, Ellis Green, and Eugene Holton, and by his brother-in-law, Vincent Koonce.

Mack was such an amazing basketball player and one of my brothers ( TJ) lifetime friends. when I shared his home going with some of his classmates , they gave their condolences and the next subject was ” Man he was a great ball player” and he was. I want to extend my condolences to his amazing family.
