Julie’s Personal Touch

Racine – Robert Charles Lamberton, 84, received the promise of eternal life on Monday, December 26, 2016, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Racine on December 3, 1932, son of the late Robert and Bessie (Née: Lorence) Lamberton.

Bob graduated from Park High School in 1951. He proudly and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy. Bob was united in marriage to the love of his life, Diana Angela Bonariva, on September 17, 1955, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Bob was a sheet metal journeyman for Martin Petersen before his retirement. He also was an instructor for Gateway Technical College and taught many apprentices over the years. Bob was devoted to work and had an incredible work ethic. He was very creative, inventive, and a true problem solver. If a solution to a problem did not exist, he would usually create his own solution. Bob was a perfectionist in every aspect of his life.

Bob was, above all, a true family man. He cherished his family dearly and treasured the time spent with all of them, especially on all the trips to Door County over the years. Bob was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many trips to Canada with family and friends. He also loved to play golf and has two holes-in-one to his credit. Bob was a “true blue” friend and would help anyone that was in need.

Bob leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 61 years, Diana Lamberton; daughters, Kathryn (Michael) Boero, Laurie (Dennis) Jalensky; grandchildren, Shannyn (Michael) Borzynski, Robert (Laura) Boero, Michelle Boero, David (Anna) Jalensky, Scott Jalensky; great-grandchildren, Jack, Joseph, and Jordan Borzynski, Olivia and Luke Boero, Nora Jalensky; step-great-grandchild, Peyton Himley; sisters-in-law, Gloria Sinsky, Rita Lamberton; beloved nieces and nephews, Janet Sinsky, Peter Sinsky, and Ron, Bob, Steve, and John Lamberton; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Katelyn Ann Boero; brother, Ronald Lamberton DDS; in-laws, Peter and Rose Bonariva; Aunty Lee Vanoli; and brother-in-law, Frank Sinsky.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, 11:00am, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the Mass. Entombment with full military honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia. The family has suggested memorials to Wheaton Franciscan Hospice or The Prairie School.

The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Hospice and the staff at Shorelight Memory Care for the outstanding care given to Bob during this very difficult time.

Testimonials

December 18, 2024

Words cannot even begin to express the tremendous gratitude our family has for a team like the one at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory. Thank you for the gentle lovely care over our mother Delia (Rosa) Balderas. Never having had a direct experience with a funeral home to this extent we didn’t know what to expect. We didn’t have a clue that they would step right in and have the most comforting team surrounding us that thought of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING for anyone in our position. It was very evident from the first discussion on the phone that they were already well prepared to handle every little detail for us that we weren’t even aware would be required. Mark and his team truly eased so much of the unknown worries right out of our path, and left room for us to just focus on the small personal details we wanted for our mom. It was nice to know that all cost involved was in black and white on their site as well as on paper at our first meeting. Leaving no room for question or doubt what so ever with any fee involved. It was truly a blessing to have everything written out so well and simplified with various price range options in a time that we needed crystal clear direction. Its been beautiful to see that their care and service didn’t stop after our mom’s service came to an end. They continue to be in communication with immediate responses as questions arise along the way. God bless Mark, and the entire compassionate team, to be around to guide many many more for generations to come through life’s most difficult times. You are all truly amazing.

Hilda Balderas
