In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society-Racine Campus.

 

 

Rudolph R. Cariello Sr., 91, passed away at the  Aurora Medical Center-Kenosha, on Saturday, June 20, 2020. He was born in Racine on March 3, 1929, the son of the late Frank and Dominica (nee: Januzzi) Cariello.

Mr. Cariello was a 1948 graduate of William Horlick High School. He proudly served his country with the United States Marines Corps. On July 15, 1950, here in Racine, he was united in marriage to Theresa Arvai. He had been employed by the George Gorton Machine Company for over 18 years, where he was a member of IAMAW Local #439, and finished his career with the SPI Company in Claremore, Oklahoma. Mr. Cariello enjoyed gardening, golfing, fishing, and hunting.

Surviving are his wife, Theresa; their children, Rudy (Harriet) Cariello Jr., of Caledonia, Steven (Carol) Cariello, of Ivins, Utah, and Theresa Cariello, of Mount Pleasant; two grandchildren, Laura (Rob) Tyree, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Alison Cariello, of Arlington, Virginia. Mr. Cariello is  also survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph (Ella) Cariello, and Nick (Lorraine) Cariello, and two sisters, Mary (Paul) Knautz, and Esther (Chuck) Durdy.
