Racine – The Lord our God has saw fit to call His son back home to Him on the afternoon of February 3, 2020. TJ Williams received his golden wings and there is no more suffering or pain for our beloved.

TJ Williams was born on June 4, 1952 to the late George and Georgia (nee: Rogers) Williams in Shaw, Mississippi, he was one of fourteen children.  TJ received his education at Eastside High School in Cleveland, Mississippi and professed at a young age his relationship with Christ as his Savior.

TJ met and married the love of his life Cora (nee: Young) Williams and to this union three sons were born.  Their sense of humor complimented each other and they enjoyed traveling together visiting friends and relatives near and far.  TJ adored his children and played a major role in their academics and sporting abilities; he was a great father and friend and was truly a family man. TJ was employed by Western Publishing, J.I. Case Corporation and Intermet all located in Racine, Wisconsin, after retirement he enjoyed life immensely.  TJ enjoyed fishing and sports, he was always up for a good game of basketball until he just couldn’t play anymore. He loved cooking and eating good soul food. Playing with the grandchildren was one of his greatest joys in life, he also liked telling funny jokes that he would laugh at more than those listening.  For 26 years TJ was a coach for Racine Youth Sports Organization where he coached football (The Raiders) and basketball. He was very compassionate and a good provider for his family. TJ came from a very close-knit family and enjoyed the company of his relatives and in-laws when the opportunity presented itself.

TJ leaves to cherish his memory, his lovely wife of 43 years Cora Williams; his sons Tarmiento J. (Suzanne) Williams, Kyron D. Williams and Quirinius G. Williams all of Racine, Wisconsin;  his three beautiful daughters Juanita Jackson of Inkster, Michigan, Dianna Brown of Cleveland, Mississippi and LaTeesha Rash of Milwaukee, Wisconsin;  11 wonderful grandchildren and 1 great-grandson that he loved dearly; three brothers Oliver Williams of Newburgh, New York, R.P. (Patricia) Williams of Cleveland, Mississippi and Travis (Ruby) Williams of Madison, Wisconsin;  five sisters Dorsey Noble of Madison, Wisconsin, Mary Chew, Lucretia (Nathan) Peavy both of Gulfport, Mississippi, Patricia (Dan) Span of Shaw, Mississippi, and Linda Williams of Milwaukee, Wisconsin as well a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of His Life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 11:00am at New Omega Baptist Church, 5731 Northwestern Ave., Racine, Wisconsin.  Visitation will be at the church from 10:0.0am until the time of service. Please visit the website at a later date for his full obituary.

Testimonials

Thank you for an exceptional service for our mother – Juan Munoz

My siblings and I recently had the unfortunate experience of having to plan a funeral for our beloved mother – Juana Munoz. During this difficult time, we were fortunate enough to come across a funeral home that truly went above and beyond what was expected. Their attention to detail and dedication to ensuring our comfort and safety throughout the entire process was truly remarkable.

From the moment we stepped foot into the funeral home, we were greeted with warmth and compassion. The staff members, but specifically Mark was incredibly understanding and empathetic, making us feel at ease during such a challenging time. Mark took the time to listen to our needs and wishes, and his guidance and support were invaluable.

One aspect that truly stood out was Mark’s meticulous attention to detail. He paid close attention to every aspect of the funeral arrangements, ensuring that nothing was overlooked. From the floral arrangements to the music selection, every detail was carefully considered and executed flawlessly. Mark even noticed that the temperature in the room was getting warm and promptly adjusted it to ensure our comfort.

What impressed me the most was their commitment to our safety. Mark and his team took every precaution to ensure that our family and guests were protected throughout the entire process. From the funeral home to the cemetery, Mark made sure that all safety measures were in place, including providing hand sanitizers, and even arranging for additional staff members to assist with crowd control.

Furthermore, Mark’s professionalism and organization was evident in every aspect of the funeral service. He coordinated seamlessly with the cemetery staff, ensuring a smooth transition from the funeral home to the final resting place. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence truly made a difference in our overall experience.

In addition to their exceptional service, the funeral home also provided us with resources and support beyond the funeral itself. They offered grief counseling services and connected us with local support groups, which proved to be invaluable during our grieving process.

Overall, we cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional service provided by Mark and broader Draeger Langendorf team. Their attention to detail, commitment to our safety, and genuine compassion made a difficult time a little more bearable. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of funeral arrangements, as they truly go above and beyond to ensure that every detail is taken care of and that families are supported throughout the entire process.

– Epifanio and The Munoz Family
