Harry J. Mich

Harry J. Mich, 92, died in Harmony of Racine Living Center on Wednesday, December 5, 2007. He was born in Paris Township on July 28, 1915 the son of the late John and Lucy (nee: Fonk) Mich. He had lived in Racine County since 1940. On June 29, 1940, in St. Francis Catholic Church in Brighton, he was united in marriage to the former Doris Daniels, who preceded him in death on June 17, 1999. Mr. Mich served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He had been employed by Massey Ferguson for over 23 years and later by Twin Disc for 21 years, retiring in 1980. Mr. Mich was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. He was an attentive father and grandfather and enjoyed the company of his many friends. He will be greatly missed. Surviving are his children, Marlene (Fred) Hegeman of St. Simon Island, GA, Rev. Kenneth Mich of Menomonee Falls, WI, Steve (Patricia) Mich and Randy (Marla) Mich all of Racine; 11 grandchildren, Michael Hegeman, Laura (Michael) Alton, Mark (Pamela) Hegeman, Paul (Cathy) Hegeman, Lynn (D.J.) Murphy, Charles Mich, John Mich and fiancée Erin Rizzo, Alex Mich, Michael Mich, David Mich, and Daniel Mich; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; sisters-in-law, LaVerne Drissel, Mary Mich, Dorothy Daniels and Edna Reiter all of Kenosha. His nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive him. In addition to his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by twin sons Joseph and John, brothers Urban Mich, and Leonard (Eleanor) Mich, sisters, Caroline (Francis) Reiter, Verna (Irving) Kohlmeier, and Pauline Ludwig. His con-celebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 10th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St. with his son Rev. Kenneth Mich presiding. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and in the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Private entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Garden Crypts. Memorials have been suggested to St. Paul Catholic Church. Living Center and Hospice Alliance for the kind and compassionate The family would like to thank the staff of Harmony of Racine care given to Harry during his stay with them. Especially, Mohamed, Marissa and Stephanie of Hospice Alliance.
