Anita Christine Balderas

May 9, 1958 – Jul 26, 2014

Anita Christine Balderas, 56, received the promise of eternal life on Saturday, July 26, 2014.  She was born in Detroit, MI, on May 9, 1958, daughter of Carl and Joyce (nee: Tomblin) Balderas.

Anita is a graduate of J.I. Case High School.  She worked for many years at One Hour Martinizing on Main Street in Racine.  Anita was an avid pool player and was a member of the South Side Women’s Pool League.  She won the championship ten years straight.  Anita also could be found trying her luck in the casino at Potawatomi playing slot machines and bingo.  She was a true fan of the Packers and loved everything to do with Aaron Rodgers.  Above all, Anita cherished her family and loved being grandma.  She will be dearly missed.

Anita leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Ronald Walker, Jr. of Racine, Rachael Balderas of Racine; grandchildren, Ali Balderas, Kyle Balderas; mother, Joyce Williams of Cudahy ; sisters, Ronda (Terry) Dyess of Racine, Julia (Sam) Kelley of Cudahy; brother, Tony (Karen) Balderas of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends too numerous to mention.

Anita is preceded in death by her father, Carl Balderas; and daughter, Rebecca Balderas.

A celebration of Anita’s life will take place on Monday, August 4, 2014, 12:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.  Memorials have been suggested to the family.

Testimonials

February 20, 2019

Mike and his team did a fabulous job with the memorial service for our Mom. It was perfect and he made the process easy for me to go through during such a difficult time. She had chosen theĀ funeral homeĀ before hand, and she made the right choice. The service was beautiful, simple, and sweet. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
