Julie’s Personal Touch

Racine – Edward E. Baker, 80, passed away at Parkside Manor in Kenosha on Sunday, August 27, 2017. He was born in Sparta on May 9, 1937, son of the late Clarence and Ruby (nee: Woolheiser) Baker. On January 7, 1956, he was united in marriage to Erlene H. Twesme. Mr. Baker retired from We Energies in 1994 after working 40 years as a Powerplant Operator.

Ed Baker enjoyed his retirement living between his home in Three Lakes that he built by hand, and snowbirding in Florida. Ever the outdoorsman, Ed loved to go hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, canoeing, and camping with his family. He was helpful and always there for anyone in need. Of course, he was a die-hard Packers fan.

Surviving are his children: Tab (Vicki) Baker of Kenosha, Tamie (Elmer) Kenyon of Mt. Pleasant, Terry (Valorie) Baker of Racine, and Troy (Kimberly) Baker of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren: Ted Baker, Terin Baker, Kelly Baker, Brett Baker, Chris Baker, Evan Baker, Ryan Baker, Collin Baker, and Megan Baker, Teri Graceffa, and Aaron Graceffa; great grandchildren, Katlin, Abby, Aaron, Alex, Winter, Maze, and Autumn. He is further survived by his brother LaVern “Jim” (Pat) Baker of Melrose; sister Darlene (Jerry) Dilley of Gays Mills; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Erlene on June 23, 2013.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, or your favorite charity have been suggested.
