The family is planning their own celebration of Jay’s life. The celebration will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018, 5:00pm, at Apostolic Faith Church, 3045 Airline Road, Mount Pleasant.

Racine – Jay Curtis Rosenke, 56, passed away unexpectedly on May 9, 2018. He was born in Racine on March 27, 1962, son of the late Erick and Rosemary (Nee: Svendsen) Rosenke.
Jay was the owner/operator of J&R Decorating. He could fix just about anything. Jay was a phenomenal artist with his work and had a special passion for wood. He loved to be outdoors whether it be a bonfire or just cooking on the grill which was his specialty.
Jay is survived by his daughter, Misty (Richard Escamilla) Rosenke; grandchildren, Kadrien J. Pegues-Rosenke, Kamren J. Escamilla; sister, Erica Rosenke; niece, Katelyn Mowry; nephews, Jaxson Stenseth, Draven O’Neill; love of his life, Jane Trinidad; best friends, “Captain” Joe Steiner, Eric Sturgis, Pete Cuccia, Jose Garcia, Jim Gavin, Ron Passehl, Michael “Mikey” Serra; other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

jay has been a wonderful neighbor and friend all these years. I am so sorry for his passing.he will be missed. he was always there to lend a hand or say hello while he was out working on some project in the yard. he was a wonderful guy

I’m at a loss for words, so very sad for Jay’s death… Jay was a great friend, he and I went to Park High School together, and were in many art classes together. He was such a giving soul and tried every day to make his friends feel like he cared. He touched many lives through all he did in his short life, and will be in our memories forever…

Neighbor Jay, as my kids always called him, was a blessing to the old neighborhood. He helped out wherever and whenever he could with a smile on his face. The good ones always die young. I am so sorry to learn of his passing and send my heartfelt condolences to his family.
