Erma Jean Morris

Service Details

Her Homegoing Service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday,  February 14th, at 6:00 p.m., with Bishop L.L. Kirby officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In keeping with Erma Jean’s wish, cremation will follow.

 

Erma Jean Morris, 61, was called Home by her Loving Savior on February 3, 2019, while vacationing in Jackson,  TN. Erma Jean was born in New Madrid, MO on January 15, 1958, the daughter of the late R. J. and Leola (nee: McFarrin) Lockhart.

Erma Jean married Richard L. Morris, here in Racine, on March 11, 2000, although they had been in a loving relationship for over 40 years. She was a longtime day care provider for family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was being with her family and friends.

Surviving are her husband, of nearly 19 years, Richard L. Morris, their children Latonya (J.R. Brown) Morris, of Milwaukee, Jamonta (Samantha Delray) Morris, Sparkus (Deandra Driver) Morris, all of Racine; 10, soon-to-be 11, grandchildren; 4 great-grandsons; brother, William Lockhart; sister, Dorothy Williams, both of Racine, and her best friend since kindergarten, Barbara Faye. Her nieces, nephews, numerous relatives down south, and friends also survive her.
