Racine -Rosie Lee (nee: Anderson) Carter was born on February 18, 1951, to the union of Paralee and A.C. Anderson in Isola, Mississippi.

Rosie received her  formal education at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi  and  Gateway College in Racine, Wisconsin.

Rosie accepted Christ as her savior in the mid 1980s and was united with Lakeview Church of Christ where she served as  secretary under the leadership of Ralph Moore.

Rosie was united in holy matrimony with Warren Carter in  1980. Rosie was employed by Delphi/General Motors in Oak Creek, Wisconsin where she held a position as an inspector  for over 30 years until her retirement.

Rosie enjoyed traveling to Aruba, Barbados, Puerto Rico and many other places with her close friends.

Rosie Lee Carter departed this life on August 21, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Carter; mother and father Paralee and A.C. Anderson; grandmother, aunts, and uncles.

Rosie leaves to cherish her memories her siblings John (Mable) Williams,  Jerri (Darrell) Caldwell, Willie (Vanessa) Anderson, Lorine Williams, Lawrence (Joyce) Anderson, Tiney Anderson (Robert), Jackqueline Anderson (Sherrod), Jesse Quinn, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; her goddaughter Jaelah Mayfield, godson Denis Hart Jr., close friends Thelma Alston, Dorothy Hickman, Ethel Broadway, Michael Martin, Levon Sims, and many other friends whom she cherished.

Rosie Lee Carter, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Asension-All Saints Hospital in Racine, Wisconsin.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019, 1:30pm in the Chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd., Racine, WI. 53405.  Visitation will be in the chapel from 12:30am until the time of service.  Brother Michael Martin will be officiating the service.  Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
