Service Details

Services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019, 4:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 2:00pm until the time of the service.  Repast will be at Fellowship Hall, New Brighter Day Baptist Church, 1225 25th Ave, Kenosha, WI.

Eddie “Bug” Booker, Jr. was born to eternal life on August 26, 2019 at Park View Gardens Memory Care in Racine, WI.  Eddie was the fourth child of 15 children born to the late Eddie Booker, Sr. and the late Josephine (nee: Sutton) Booker on June 18, 1941 in Tchula, Mississippi.

“Bug” worked for the city of Racine until his health declined.  Bug enjoyed gardening, basketball, softball, and football. He also enjoyed working on cars.  He had a smile out of this world.

“Bug” is survived by his three daughters, Lucretia Criaer, Terri Bean of Racine, WI, Deanie Watts of Birmingham, AL; 3 grandchildren, Sha’Meeka Boykin, Deionte Westmoreland, April Westmoreland,  of Racine, WI; 17 great grandchildren; six sisters, Ethel Lofton, Dorothy (Pastor Joseph) Thomas, Amy Lilley, Virginia (Courtney) Jackson, Gloria (Harvie) Eggerson, Lynn Booker of Racine, WI; five brothers, Earl (Marian) Booker, Wop Booker, J.W (Eula) Booker, Arthur (Hattie) Booker, Austin Booker of Racine, WI; one special Uncle Saul(Shirley) Sutton, Jr.; two special nieces, Ernestine Booker, Jeanette McMillian; one brother-in-law, Curly Davis of St. Louis, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

In addition to his parents, “Bug” was preceded in death by siblings Mary Everson, Dillie Bridges, and Mae Willie Davis, granddaughter Sharnetta Claybrook, niece Valerie Bridges, nephew Troy Evans, brother-in-law’s Frank Bridges, Robert Jordan, Richard Everson, and sister-in-law Elaine Booker.

Services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019, 4:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 2:00pm until the time of the service.  Repast will be at Fellowship Hall, New Brighter Day Baptist Church, 1225 25th Ave, Kenosha, WI.

Special thanks to Walinda, Dee Dee, Lil Maria, and DeJa, Hospice alliance, nurse Julie, aide Regina, Chaplain Terry, and social worker Dean.  The family of Eddie Booker, Jr. would like to thank each and everyone for their acts of kindness and prayers.
