Kenosha, WI – Timothy Scott Nesbit Jr. was born on June 13, 2005, to Shinelle (nee: Gross) McKinney and Timothy Scott Nesbit Sr. in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

He received his formal education in both Kenosha and Racine Unified School Districts. At the tender age of 7 Timothy showed a great interest in the game of basketball. Seeing how much he loved it his mother got him a membership at the Boys and Girls Club of Kenosha. He played in the Small Fry division for several years until he started playing for Bullen Middle School for 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Some of Timothy’s hobbies were playing video games, listening to music, and going fishing. Timothy had a lot of friends that he enjoyed being with especially his best friend who he called his brother Kanye Marshall. What Timothy loved doing most of all was spending quality time with his family on vacations, whether it was being at the Dells or summer trips to Tennessee. It did not matter to him as long as he was with his family. On January 1, 2020, his life was forever changed with the birth of his daughter Amaiya, whom he loved and cherished deeply.

Timothy Scott Nesbit Jr. departed this life on June 24, 2021. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents Willie and Irene Powell; maternal grandfather Henry Gross Jr.; maternal great-grandparents Annie Mae Easley and Sam Elvin Douglas and his paternal great-grandparents Thomas and Mary Nesbit.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Amaiya Monique Renaee Carlvin; his mother Shinelle R. (Lopize Sr.) McKinney; his father Timothy Scott Nesbit Sr.; grandparents Irene Powell-Gross and Bobby Jo and Kathlyn Douglas Nesbit; great-grandmother Marie Grose; his siblings Shauntell McKinney, Renica Gross, Sha’kayla McKinney, Lopize McKinney Jr, Raeven McKinney, Tim’Era Nesbit (his twin sister and best friend), Londen Nesbit, Tylin Nesbit, Kamaria Nesbit and Kesha; Godparents Shawn Payne and Kenya Booker; 7 nieces, 8 nephews, 9 aunts, 5 uncles, and many other relatives and friends.

The Celebration of His Life will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 12:00pm in the chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd., Racine, WI.  Visitation will be in the chapel from 10:00am – 12:00pm.  Interment will take place in Green Ridge Cemetery in Kenosha, WI.

Coaching Tim was always fun. He enjoyed playing for Kenosha Small Fry and loved being around his teammates and was very coachable. He always wanted to get better and worked very hard for me. I will miss his smile, but he will be playing for the Lord’s team and I KNOW he will do well.

Testimonials

April 3, 2025

I wanted to personally thank the Draeger – Langendorf Family for the wonderful support and work they provided during my families time of grief when my sister Vanessa Davis Perry passed away in August of 2021. I also would like to thank Leslie Scales who personally assisted with the details of the service & worked with my family for it to turn out as planned.
