Terry Lee Krachey, 62, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly at Froedert Hospital-Kenosha Campus, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Terry was born on August 12, 1959 in Prairie du Chien, WI., son to Harold A. Krachey and Joyce B. Fisher (nee Allison-Krachey).  He grew up in Bristol, WI. and graduated from Salem Central High School (Westosha) in Paddock Lake, WI.  As an adult he lived in Kenosha, WI. where he married and raised a family.

On May 5, 1990 he was united in marriage to his best friend, Sherry Lou Metzger of Racine, WI. Terry and Sherry raised two wonderful daughters, Britney Krachey and Adrienne Krachey.

Terry and Sherry were Best Friends and did everything together.  They made time for date night on Saturdays, spending time with family, going for a ride down by Lake Michigan, or just running out for a snack.

Terry was always there to help his mom and stepdad around their house. He loved being outside, helping his mom in her garden.

In his spare time, he loved to be with his four grandbabies and do special things like, take Aiden to McDonalds for breakfast from the time he could eat a pancake, go to the store, or go play at the park.  Baby Reta was the latest apple of his eye. He loved being a Papa to all his grandbabies.

Fishing and Deer Hunting was Terry’s passion since he was a kid, going with his dad, Harold and brother, Randy. He continued that tradition with his nephew, Josh, and hunted every year all over Wisconsin, most of the time with success.

He loved all his animals and they loved him. From dogs, birds, cats, and even a squirrel that would go into their living room and eat right out of his hand.

Terry and his family were active part of the Journey Church in Kenosha, WI. where Terry volunteered his time.  He had lots of friends there and helped with anything he could such as, ushering, parking cars, and shoveling snow.

He was a hard worker and was employed in Kenosha County his whole life.  Outside of work, you could call on Terry whenever you needed a hand. He truly enjoyed helping people.  He never met a stranger and would talk to anybody.  Maybe even tell you a joke, smile mischievously, nod his head and laugh with you.

Terry’s memory will be carried on through his wife, Sherry Krachey; daughters, Britney Krachey and Adrienne Krachey (Brandon Sutherland); four grandchildren, Aiden (13), Reta (4 Months), Brooklyn (7) and Emily (4); mother, Joyce Fisher (nee Allison-Krachey) and stepfather, Gary Fisher; sister, Jan and her husband, Phill Johnson; brother, Randy and his wife, Sandra Krachey, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harold A. Krachey, and his maternal grandmother, Mabel Johnson.
