We will remember Bob as a talented musician, singer, and friend. As part of the Back 40 band (a well-rounded country band), my husband, Bob Modrow, shared a lot of special moments by performing all around the area. Rest in peace, Bob. Although we haven’t kept in touch since the group disbanded many years ago, the memories will stay with us.

I remember Bob best growing up in the old neighborhood back in the 1950’s. Bob his mom his aunt and grandfather lived in a house on Liberty St. far east end across from the railroad station. My older brother Jim and I lived right around the corner on what was then called Lafayette Ave. later renamed Memorial Drive in 1964.
Bob was always a nice friendly decent kid fun to be around. He and my brother were the same age (born 1946) and were friends. I was born 1949.
Sometimes Bob and I would hang around and we got along just fine even though I was 3 years younger.
I think it was around 1959 or 60 when Bob and his family moved to their nice new home on Summit Avenue right behind Horlick High School.
I am very sad to hear of Bob’s passing away and offer my condolences to his wife Mary and family.

Bro I cannot believe that you are no longer here with us on earth. You are missed tremendously. I will and do miss your smile/laugh, your caring and thoughtfulness, our Facebook chats. I will miss you arguing with Mary and I about playing card games when you came down to visit but then you always would and would have fun doing so along with lots of laughing. I will miss seeing you and my fur babies watching your tv stuff together. I know my fur babies miss you too. I know Penny and Molly are showing you and Abe around up there and you all are checking it all out. I know you are enjoying the poker games up there with family and friends. I know you are enjoying spending time with family and friends that have gone up there before you. One day we will all be together again Bob. So sad that you are gone from here but glad that you are not having to go through all that you had to the past 2-3 years. Love you buddy
