A Memorial Service to Celebrate David’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, 11:00am. The service will be at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1123 Center St., Racine, WI.

Kenosha, WI – David Louis James transitioned into eternal life on Monday, March 21, 2022, at the Claridge Nursing Home in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was born on August 2, 1964, in Racine, Wisconsin to the late Frank and Elsie Ruth (nee: Jenkins) James.

David graduated from Washington Park High School in Racine. He married Vivian Moore, from that matrimony, two sons were born. James was a member and deacon of St. Paul Baptist Church in Racine, where Bishop Lawrence L. Kirby was his pastor. He also attended Grace Lutheran Church in Kenosha Wisconsin. His favorite hobby was collecting comic books. David had so many he could’ve opened his own comic bookstore. He also collected model airplanes. His greatest love was his family.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his two sons Josiah and Joshua James and their mother Vivian James; two sisters Anniepearl Jackson of Kenosha, WI and Toni Foster of Jacksonville, North Carolina; a granddaughter Dream; stepdaughter Melissa; two aunts Clydean Roberson of Wichita, Kansas and Eloise Jenkins of Kenosha, WI; as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.  David was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Elsie Ruth James; his grandparents Clyde and Elizabeth Jenkins; aunts Betty Brown and Norma Jean Foster; his uncle Charles Jenkins and cousins.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate David’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, 11:00am. The service will be at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1123 Center St., Racine, WI.

Masks are required at all times while in the church.

    Cousin David, we are going to miss you. I wish we would’ve all been around you more often as we have gotten older. I am happy you are in a better place with Aunt Elsie & Uncle Frank. You were always kind and thank you for that. Sending my love to your two sons during this difficult time.
