Willie James Andrews

Apr 11, 1960 – Oct 26, 2022

Service Details

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 10:00 am for a visitation and time to meet with Willie’s family.

A service celebrating his life and homegoing will follow at 11:00 a.m.

Willie James Andrews, 62, found eternal peace on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

He was born in Birmingham, AL on April 11, 1960 to the late Lue Bertha Reynolds and Sam Godfrey.

Willie worked for Chrysler right out of high school until he retired in 2009.  He was an avid sports fan, with the Alabama Crimson Tide and Green Bay Packers being his two favorite teams.

He was the life of the party and never strayed away from a good time or a microphone.  Whether he was singing karaoke or singing at weddings, his voice, smile, and charisma touched the hearts of everyone he came in contact with.

Willie loved his family and treated his friends like family.  His children filled his heart as they were his pride and joy.  He leaves to cherish his memory: his former wife and friend Brenda Andrews, friends Barbara Brown and Jennifer Ramsey; his children, Milagro (Sarai) Brown, Anaya Andrews, and Jada Andrews; sister, Michelle (Uriah) Barry; brothers, Joe and Samuel; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, dear friends; and an unborn grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 10:00 am for a visitation and time to meet with Willie’s family.  A service celebrating his life and homegoing will follow at 11:00 a.m.
