Our beloved father Dennis “Dutch” Lynn Hoyt passed away, after his battle with cancer, in his home on June 5, 2023 at the age of 79. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandra “Sandie” June (nee: Lail) Hoyt.

Dutch was born in Jefferson, Iowa on May 17, 1944 to Floyd and Genevieve “Genny” Hoyt. Dutch served our country with the United States Army National Guard. He had a passion for his family and his church, and he loved to speak about both with anyone who would listen.

In addition to Sandie, he leaves behind his children Kay Lipke, Jeff Hoyt, Bob Lipke, Denny Hoyt, Wendy Hoyt and Nick Hoyt (partner, Paul Reese). He also leaves behind sisters Jean Boone with husband Mike Boone, and Laura Sheeder with husband Mike Sheeder; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family. Dutch was preceded in death by daughter, Charlene Lipke; and brothers, Clinton Hoyt and Lewis Hoyt.

The memorial service will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1400 Warwick Way  Mount Pleasant, WI  53406 on Friday, June 23, 2023. Church doors will be open at 9:30 am, service will be held at 11:00 am with luncheon and fellowship to follow. All friends and family are welcome. Our sincere condolences to Dutch’s family. Please know that so many people share your grief with you and will help you through this difficult time in your life. Something that we have personally experienced to be of great comfort are the thoughts expressed in the Bible at John 5:28 “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his (Jesus Christ) voice and come out”. The death of a loved one is extremely painful but have faith in God Jehovah’s promise of a resurrection. May God comfort you as you move forward from this profoundly sad time in your life.

I didn’t know him as well as I would have liked but the years I worked with him at mastercraft he was always smiling and seemed to be a happy go lucky guy. Every conversation was enjoyable.

And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” -Revelation 14:13 ….. What shined about Dutch was not only his human warmth but his living hope in Christ. Friends and family in Christ will look forward to seeing him again. God used this man greatly in the lives of so many, and this I think was the daily prayer that heaven still honors

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Dear Bob,
I just wanted to thank you again for all your help and everything you did for my grandfather’s funeral. Looking back on it, I think Gramps would have been so proud of how everything turned out and it would not have been possible without your help. Your staff is amazing and has allowed us the grieve without worrying about the little details of everything that goes into making the arrangements and planning the services. You helped us honor one of the most amazing men in my life, and it meant so much to me personally and to my family. Thank you for everything.
Take care,
Jessie Tuttle
