Jean Audrey Lensby (nee: Leonard), age 91, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 with her daughter by her side.

She was born June 4, 1932 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Francis and Evelyn (nee: Cunningham) Leonard. Jean worked at many places throughout her life. The last two jobs where she met many friends were Surgitek and as a Foster Grandma through Goodwill at Atonement Lutheran Day Care. Jean enjoyed reading, enjoyed liking everything on Facebook by typing “LIKE”, watching her soap and Wednesday lunch with her Surgitek friends. Jean was a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church, although she frequently attended mass at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church on Sunday morning, then followed up with breakfast at Dynasty. Jean loved being at gatherings with her family and getting to watch the little ones run around.

Jean is survived by her loving children: Cindy Imhof (Florida), Michael Lensby (Green Bay), Vickie (Jim) Monosa (Florida), Debra (Steve) Lensby-Monosa (Mt Pleasant), Yvonne (Fred) Bruhn (Franksville) and Rosemary (Mike) Martin (East Troy). Her grandchildren: Christian Imhof, Melissa (Mike) Tesch, Carrie (Andy) Becker, Danny Lensby, Bob Monosa, Jason (Laurie) Monosa, Corrine (Dan) Pozel, Carrie Hogard, Robin Monosa, Nicole (Patrick) Kavanagh, David Louison, Holly (Ron) Guichon, Angela (John) LaRue, Andrea Martin, Jessica (Jason) Towns, Kelli (Tim) Lang, Nicole Martin and Ashley (Zach) Carner. And 23.5 great-grandchildren. Also, her sister, Pat Rinebarger; sister-in-law Bernie Lensby. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends too numerous to mention by name.

Jean was preceded in death by her son Master Sargent Patrick Lensby; her parents Francis and Evelyn Leonard; brothers: James (Shirley) Leonard, Jack Leonard; Sister: Ellen Firtik.  Brothers-in-law: Edward Lensby and Bruce Rinebarger. Her friend and father of her children Richard Lensby. Good friends: Chuck & Glenda Miller and Gladys.

Our family has many memories of the Lensby family from when our family was young and living on 15th Street. Frequent coffee visits & Rosie as a babysitter were wonderful times….thoughts and prayers for all of you during this time ❤️

Jean was a very special lady. She brightened a room just by her smile. She loved holding all her grand babies. She will leave a gaping hole in this family until they all meet again. RIP Jean.
