Mount Pleasant – Barbara Louise (nee: Randall) Anderson, age 83 of Racine, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa. Barbara was born in Eatonton, Georgia on June 29, 1940, the daughter of the late Melvin and Francis (nee: Evans) Randall.

Barbara was raised in Detroit, MI where she graduated from Northeastern High School. At the early age of 10, she was baptized at the New Bethel Baptist Church (Detroit) by the late Rev. C.L. Franklin.

On August 9, 1966 she met and married the love of her life, her husband, LeRoy Anderson, shortly afterwards the couple moved to Racine. She became a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Mack C. Davis. As a member of the church, she became a member of the Willing Workers and later served as a faithful Mother of the church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary (Eastern Star Ruthe Chapter 9). She was employed at Amtrak until her health failed. She enjoyed playing games like bingo, other games and sharing memories.  Her favorite snack was popcorn. She loved listening to the blues, rock and roll, gospel and most of all Aretha Franklin.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Larry Randall and Marlon Anderson; granddaughters, Sandricka (Cory) Lofton of Georgia, Samantha Green Anderson and Brianna Anderson both of Racine, Wisconsin; DeMario Kidd, Alexis Anderson, LeBron Anderson all from Minnesota; great grandchildren, Courtney Lofton, Elias Green, and Braylon Solomon; niece, Diana Williams; nephew, Ernest Mahone; great nieces, Shannon Phiefer, Lenora Forrest-Chew, Miracle Williams, LaTyra Williams and Shanel Williams, special cousin, Jo Ann Hattix and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Francis Randall; husband LeRoy Anderson; sister Blondie (nee: Randall) Jones; and son Brian Anderson
