Stacy Fanchon Scott

Dec 15, 1975 – May 5, 2024

Service Details

Stacy’s homegoing celebration will be held at Racine Assembly of God church, 1325 Airline Rd, Racine WI on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 with Pastor Ed Walker officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet with family from 10 am until the service, which begins at 11 am.  The celebration can be viewed at www.racineassembly.com.

Stacy Fanchon Scott, 48, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven on May 5, 2024.

Stacy was born to William C. and Shirley A. (nee: Thomas) Scott Sr. in Chicago, IL. on December 15, 1975.  She graduated from Washington Park High School in 1994, and attended Jackson State University, University of Wisconsin – Parkside, and Trinity University working on degrees in education and theology.  Before the Covid pandemic, Stacy was a long-time employee of M&I Worldwide where she worked on corporate events, traveled all over the U.S., and made lasting friendships.  Stacy was most recently the church administrator at Racine Assembly of God and was expertly suited for the position.  Her days were filled with administrative duties that were enriched with the opportunities to minister and pray with those who stopped in the office.

For the last decade, Stacy was a loving caregiver and advocate for children in the Racine County foster care system.  She opened her heart and her home, and provided loving care to dozens of children who became family.

Stacy was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ whose life embodied her faith each day.  She was a kind, generous, sweet person who was almost always positive.  She was smart, had a great sense of humor, and an infectious laugh.  Stacy loved, loved, loved to gather and spend time with family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by her son, Caleb Benjamin Scott and foster babies, Travis and Bronxx; parents William and Shirley; her siblings Regina (Ted) Scott Brooks, William C. (Tonia) Scott Jr, Reginald T. (Laura) Scott, Rachel A. Scott, Deborah L. Scott, Michael E. (Angela) Scott, Christa V. Scott, Jessica J. Scott, Gabrielle A. Scott, and Timothy L. Scott; many nieces and nephews, including special niece Catherine Shirley-Ann Brooks her Goddaughter; other relatives; her Racine Assembly of God family; and many dear friends.  Stacy was preceded in death by her nieces, Dayja and Delija Scott and nephew, Michael Scott.

Her family would like to thank everyone who walked with Stacy on her health journey:  the providers at Aurora Advanced Healthcare Oncology (Mount Pleasant); an extra huge thank you to all the numerous friends, church members, and family that helped in EVERY WAY POSSIBLE.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Stacy Scott Legacy Fund to support her son inbuilding his future, c/o Racine Assembly of God Church – Attn: Pastor Angela Walker, 1325 Airline Rd, Racine WI 53406, or www.racineassembly.com (select Stacy Scott Legacy under Giving).
