Deborah Lee Allen

Service Details

Her Homegoing Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Service. Private burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery on Monday, June 3rd.

Deborah Lee Allen was called home by her Loving Savior on Friday, May 17, 2024. She was born in Osceola, Arkansas, on August 1, 1958, the daughter of the late Carl and Selma (nee: Bobo) Allen. Deborah received Christ at an early age and kept her faith throughout all of her battles. She was a fighter and survivor of many health issues.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, thrift shopping, and being with her family. Her greatest love and joy came from raising her children and grandchildren. She also tookย  on the role of โ€œMotherโ€ to many whom she loved and cared for dearly, especially her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Deborahโ€™s presence will be missed.

Surviving are her two children, Breeon (Stacie) Carothers, Sr. and Selma James, all of Racine; five grandchildren, Tyna Brown, Breeon Carothers, Jr. Trevion Carothers, Sr. Laney Armstrong, Synncere Davine; two great-grandchildren, Breeon Carothers III, and Trevion Carothers, Jr; two sisters, Patricia Walker, of Racine, and Georgia Allen of Rockford, Illinois; three brothers, Carl Allen, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri, Robert (Aretha) Allen, of Racine, and Lowell Allen, of Dansville, Kentucky; her aunt, Lula Nelson, of Jacksonville, Arkansas. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her. In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her brother, Lewis Walker, Jr.

Brian and the rest of the staff, we just wanted to take a moment to thank you for handling every detail of our mom’s (Vera Miller’s) funeral so expeditiously and flawlessly. Being here in North Carolina, I was worried about getting mom back to WI which was her wish. All I had to do was make one phone call to your office and you seamlessly got her from Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC back to WI.

All of the arrangements were so impeccable; pictures, book for signing, flowers, thank you and acknowledgement cards, arrangements with Graceland Cemetery, and even playing our slideshow with music and photos, and getting it to loop properly.

You took so much worry off of me and my siblings by professionally stepping in and handling everything for us. I was going a little crazy thinking I had to do it all, but you helped so much that we just needed to share these thoughts and feelings with others. Thank you for everything,
