Grant Steven Hellman, a beloved son and dedicated father, passed away on May 19, 2024, at the age of 71 in his hometown. Grant was born on November 9, 1952, in Racine, WI and spent his life appreciating the simple pleasures that brought him joy.

Grant had a true passion for all things automotive and spent his days collecting die-cast models of his favorite cars, indulging in the world of automobiles. Additionally, he was fascinated by aviation, finding solace in the skies through his love for airplanes and helicopters. Grant’s enthusiasm extended beyond land and air, as he also enjoyed collecting firearms and enjoying target practice at the range.

He will be deeply missed by his son, Chad Hellman; brother, Gregory Plantz; sister, Valerie (David) Poole; niece, Suzanne Kay; God daughter Amanda (Juan) Gomez; other relatives and friends to numerous to mention. Grant is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Hellman and Jacqueline Plantz.

Grant was a friend of mine for close to 25 years. He spent many holidays as part of my family. I will miss our outings to hang out and have lunch and play a few machines! He was always the lucky one! I will also miss our evening chats. Many times I accused him of being THE most literal person I’ve ever known, but he was indeed a very kind, generous, special soul. Deeply missed and loved.

Testimonials

the Victor Morris Family

Can’t thank Gary and you all enough for our fathers funeral arrangements (Victor Joseph Morris) June 18th, 2020.
He would have been SO proud. So many little personal details that we were not even expecting, totally overwhelmed us. From the pamphlets to the thank-you notes and copies of the video, to the beautiful casket picture and arrangement. Pop looked as proud as he was in life. And thanks also to the very cooperative and helpful staff. We thought it would take much longer to knock this all out at our one and only meeting with Gary. We did not want to overlook, or forget to give our heartfelt thanks for such wonderful service at such a horrible time in our lives.
God Bless,
Bob Morris
