Racine – Robert Paul Pirk, Sr., age 68, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, surrounded with the love of family, on Monday, February 10, 2025 following an eleven day battle with pneumonia.

On July 19, 1975, he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Carole (nee: Bergemann). Bob was a proud member of the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 767 and the American Legion. He enjoyed spending time at his home in Necedah, WI where he was an avid fisherman & hunter. He was also a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan.

Surviving are his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Carole; son, Robert (fiancé, Kristan) Pirk, Jr; daughter, Nicole (Brian) DeKeuster; adored granddaughter, Aisling DeKeuster; sisters, Peggy Pirk and Patti Pirk; brother, James Pirk; sisters-in-law, Joanne (Bob) Huebner and Anne (John) Cejka; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends – including his beloved dog, Raven.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Jeanne; by Carole’s parents, Joseph and Jeanne (nee: Castonguay) Bergemann; and by his grandparents, uncles & cousins.

So sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. Bob and I ended up in basic training in the Air Force together after high school grqduation. 6 weeks later, we graduated from basic. He went one way and I another. We finally had a chance to reunite at our 50th high school reunion this past summer. It was very nice, remembering our time together in the military so long ago. RIP Bob. Thank you for your service.
