Ruth A. Staples

Service Details

In accordance with her wishes, funeral services will be held privately.

Ruth A. Staples, age 70, of Racine, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by those she loved on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

Ruth was born in Racine on August 15, 1954, a daughter of the late Henry and Helen (nee: Locey) Christopherson.  She attended Racine schools and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from UW- Parkside.

On May 7, 1988, in Racine, she was united in marriage to Richard H. Staples.  Ruth was employed with UPS for over 20 years.

She and her husband were members of the AT&T Pioneers for many years.  An artist at heart, Ruth enjoyed sewing and crocheting, having crocheted several mats for the homeless over the years. An excellent cook and baker, her true joy was found in spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; her children, Rebecca (Zachary) Novey, Sara (Joel) Yantis, Caitlin (Michael) Stevens, Jacob (Jenney) Staples, and Jodi (Christopher) Pagels; her  grandchildren, Charli, Jack, and Carter Stevens, and triplets Henry, Donald, and Cayden Novey, and her nephews and niece, Michael (Melissa) Christopherson, Steven Christopherson, and Nicole Christopherson.

Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Craig Staples.
