Beatrice “Bea” (nee: Allie) Herrmann, 93, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on October 28, 1931, in Kenosha, WI, Bea dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 61 years, Paul, and their four daughters.  A life-long resident of Racine, Kenosha and Burlington Wisconsin, she lived the last six years of her life at ACTS Fairhaven Senior Living Residence in Sykesville, Maryland to be close to two of her daughters.  There she made some very good and kind friends who enjoyed her sense of humor and can-do spirit.

Bea’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and fostering a loving environment. Her holiday gatherings were eagerly anticipated by family and friends alike. Bea’s love for nurturing things was evident in her beautiful gardens, which she lovingly tended for over four decades. She also enjoyed sewing and making many of the girls’ clothes for special occasions along with some stunning outfits for herself. She was an avid card player and enjoyed playing with several card clubs made up of dear friends. Finally, she enjoyed playing the piano as many of her family were very gifted musicians.

Bea also worked as a nurse at Dr. Schulte’s office in Kenosha for years and continued to cover for his nurses after her kids were older.  Bea also served as the unofficial neighborhood nurse on Woodbury Lane offering opinions, band-aids and advice as needed.  She earned her BS in Nursing in the 80’s and was proud of her accomplishment as an older student.  And most of all, she was a reader.  For the last several years she depended on her Kindle and Audiobooks and had over 1200 titles in her audio library. She loved a good mystery and spy novel.

She also loved following the Brewers (especially Christian Yelich) and the Packers. The Ravens were on her radar, but a distant third.

She is preceded in death by her husband Paul and is remembered with much love by her girls and their families, Gretchen, Jenifer (Steve) Eroskey, Mary (Jack) Flynn and Ellie (Fred) Becker and her six grandchildren – Matthew Eroskey (Steven Estes), Madeline Eroskey and Katie Eroskey-Mitchell (Brandon Mitchell), Taylor Becker (Kristin), Jim Becker (fiancé Morgan Shelko) and Paul Becker.  All her nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Donna Herrmann will also remember her with love, along with her friends in Wisconsin, Maryland and Arizona.

Her funeral will take place Wednesday, July 16th, 2025 at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Road in Mt. Pleasant, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at noon.  Interment and luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the  American Macular Degeneration Foundation (AMDF) or the BrightFocus Foundation. Our sympathy to the family. Now she is at peace and with the Lord. We enjoyed our little chats with her on the phone.
