In Loving Memory of Kyle Andrew Hayes
Kyle Andrew Hayes was born in Racine, Wisconsin, on July 14, 1995, to Vania Hayes and Kevin Johnson. On July 15, 2025—just one day after his 30th birthday—Kyle passed away unexpectedly in Atlanta, Georgia. His sudden passing left a hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Kyle was truly one of a kind—compassionate, vibrant, joyful, and always putting others before himself. A creative force from a young age, he lit up every room he entered. From talent shows and school plays to singing, acting, and performing on stage, Kyle was a born entertainer. He graduated from J.I. Case High School in 2013 and carried his love of the performing arts with him wherever he went.
Kyle was deeply passionate about music, theater, and self-expression. That passion blossomed into a beautiful drag persona known as Carmel Bliss—a phenomenal presence who graced stages across Wisconsin, including Club Icon in Kenosha and Milwaukee Pride. Kyle was crowned Miss Kenosha Pride and was adored by the LGBTQ+ community for his courage, authenticity, and radiant energy.
His final days were filled with joy. Kyle attended Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour in Atlanta—his absolute dream come true—and experienced the thrill of a lifetime. He lived that moment to the fullest, surrounded by music and magic, just the way he would have wanted.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorella Hayes, Charles Hayes, and Janet McGill, along with other beloved family members. He is survived by his parents, Vania Hayes and Kevin Johnson; his siblings, Cameron Davis, Madison Hayes, Alaina Johnson, and Chase Byrnes; and a host of aunts and cousins across the Midwest and California. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and especially his LGBTQ+ family—who truly became his greatest family of all.
Kyle had the rare ability to lift people up, bring light into the darkest places, and make everyone feel seen. His spirit will continue to shine in every beat of music, every burst of laughter, and every heart he touched.
We love you, Carmel Bliss. You’ll forever be our dazzling light, our star performer, our force of joy.
Rest in power, beautiful soul.
