Robert Lyle Gustin, 74, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, at his home in Sebring, Florida.

Born on December 15, 1950, Bob graduated from Case High School in 1969. He began his professional journey at Wolohan Lumber Company, later joining State Construction. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Horizon Retail Construction, from which he retired early to embrace life’s adventures.

Bob shared a loving marriage with his wife, Nancy (Olsen) Gustin. He was a devoted father to Rhonda Parker (Dal) of Leachville, AR; Jennie Fuhrman (Ryan) of Franksville, WI; Bart Bolman (Michelle) of Oswego, IL; Kiann Sohl (Kevin) of Angier, NC; Alison Reilly (Mike) of Cary, NC; and Kati Walters (Kevin) of Brookland, AR. He was also a beloved brother to Jim Gustin (Jean) of Dallas, TX; stepson-in-law of Marie Olsen of Sebring, FL; and brother-in-law to Diane (David) Beck and Scott Olsen. Bob was a cherished grandfather to 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also remembered fondly by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of treasured friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Elaine Gustin; his brother, Roger Gustin, all of Sturtevant; and his in-laws Vern and Elaine Olsen.

Bob loved life! He was an avid golfer and found joy in fishing, traveling, and photography. A true Wisconsinite at heart, he especially enjoyed cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home from 5-7 pm with a service following at 7 pm. A private graveside service for the family will be held at West Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, October 11th, at 11 am.

In honor of Bob’s generous spirit, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at stjude.org/donate or the American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org/ways-to-give/memorial-gift.

“May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.”

Words? There hardly are none special enough to describe Bob. His smile lit up a room. He was the Father-in-law to our very dear Daughter-in-law. A friend and a really “cool” guy to our Son, Ryan. A blessed Grandfather to our Rylee. Heaven lit up when he stepped in. We lov3d you, Bob!

I t was so good to chat you up at the 50th, You’re at Peace now, brother. My condolences to you, Nancy, and to your family. I’ll miss you Lyle.

Dear Nancy and family, I was deeply saddened by the news of Bob’s passing. He was such a good guy. We shared so many great memories and maybe a couple better forgotten. But, I know the world would be a much better place if there were more people like him in it. I’m grateful to have known you both. Sincere condolences .

    My condolences Nancy.
So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Especially happy that we had the opportunity to talk at the 50th reunion. Bob and the rest of our high school gang had some great times at Case, some may have been pushing the limits a little . (I never told my kids about most of them, didn’t want to give them any ideas)
Bob and a couple of us other guys went on to UW- Lacrosse and rented an off campus house, needless to say, even more good times. Whenever I think of Oktoberfest, and Lyle, Jake, and Bongo, it brings a smile to my face. Thinking back, I can’t help but feel a little sorry for the elderly people that lived next door, we really weren’t too bad.
RIP Lyle, see you on the other side brother.

Outstanding!

My family picked Draeger , for our Dad, because they did such a wonderful job for my sister and brother in law. I don’t even have the right language skills to tell you how wonderful and compassionate Gary was to our family! He thought of every detail and made it so affordable but yet OUTSTANDING quality! I just can’t say enough about the whole entire process! Thank you Gary! Warren Williams officiated the service and he couldn’t of done a better , more sincere job! Thank you again, Gary!
