Charlotte Cozzette DeWitt Erickson

Service Details

To honor Charlotte’s request, the family will have a private service at Arlington Cemetery in Greenfield, WI with inurnment to follow, and Charlotte will again be with Dennis DeWitt.

Charlotte Cozzette DeWitt Erickson, a long-time resident of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, at the age of 84.

Charlotte was born on May 25, 1941, to Henry and Lorraine (nee: Stallsmith) Lamp in Muskego, Wisconsin. After graduating from Muskego High School, she worked in Quality Management at St. Luke’s Hospital. She married the love of her life, Dennis DeWitt, in 1982, and together they shared 12 wonderful years. Charlotte enjoyed going to the casino, hanging out with friends, reading, playing card games, spending time with her dog Charlie, and was known for her laughter, honesty, and wittiness.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Benton (ex. Heidi Snider) and Bill Homman; her daughter-in-law, Lori Petrucelli; her grandchildren, Jami Panno, Lindsay (Corey) Salas, Tanya Panno, Aubrey (Allison) Homman, Jessica Homman, Chance Homman, Annika Benton, Carlie Homman, and Brock Benton; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Homman, Ernie Benton, Dennis DeWitt, and Tom Erickson; her daughter and son, Sherri and Dave Homman.
