Racine – Patricia Ann Becker, age 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her loving family, at The Woods of Caledonia late Monday, April 6, 2026.
Born in Kenosha on November 27, 1931, Pat was the second of eight children of the late Genevieve Vesta Williams (née Ahnen) and John Joseph Ahnen. She graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in 1950.
Pat met her future husband, James “Jim” Becker, just months before he left for Korea. Their love grew through daily letters exchanged during wartime, and upon his return Jim proposed on Christmas Eve. On August 16, 1952, they were united in marriage at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Together they shared 72 years of marriage and raised eleven children.
Pat followed her calling to care for others, graduating from St. Theresa School of Nursing and serving at St. Mary’s Medical Center for 23 years. Guided by her strong Catholic faith, she was a longtime member of St. Edward’s Church, where she and Jim led the youth group for 18 years. She also volunteered with St. Edward’s Harmony Respite Services and later became a devoted member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. She enjoyed golf and cherished time with family and friends.
Pat had a special relationship with her grandchildren. She cherished the dandelion flowers they would bring her. Together they would hunt for the first robin of spring and she would treat them to ice cream.
She believed faith, love, family, and humor were the keys to a joyful life and marriage. Pat will be remembered for her devotion to family, her warm smile, and her gift for making everyone feel welcome.
She is survived by her children: Carl Becker, Jo Ellen Gonzo, Cathy (Jim) Straka, Rob (Mary) Becker, Paul (CindyLou) Becker, Terry (Cahnrad) Cagle, Ann (Dan) Winter, Shelly (Jeff) Tyree, Mike (Krissy) Becker, and Jenny Meyers; 28 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by sisters Janet Feest, Kathy Heinen, Mary Halverson, Margaret McCutcheon, and Beth (Larry) Lindman; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim; her son Thomas Becker; grandsons Jeremiah Becker and Robert Kaminskis Jr.; great-grandson Diontae Rommel; sons-in-law Lemont Rommel, Bruce Gonzo, and Scott Meyers; daughter-in-law SanDee Becker; siblings Gene (Flo) Ahnen, Jerry (Mary) Ahnen, and Ray Feest.

Above all, Pat would want to be remembered not with sorrow but with joy. So, when you see the first robin of spring, smile, think of her, and treat yourself to ice cream.
